Acrylic Nails over Forms

Nail forms are versatile, easy-to-apply artificial nail made of adhesive backed coated paper or Mylar. They also come in reshaped plastic or aluminum, these nail form must always be sanitized. Acrylic nails can be colored with a variety of acrylic powders, including many shades of pinks, white, clear and natural.

Acrylic nail can be created either by using one color powder for the entire nail or by pink powder on the nail plate and white powder for the free edge to produce a French manicure look.

Before you to know how to apply acrylic nail, you should understand the role that primer play in the process. A primer is a substance that improves adhesion, or attachment and prepare the nail surface for bonding either the acrylic materials. Acid primer is widely used to help bind the acrylic nail to the natural nail. Nonacid primer is noninvasive to the natural nail and not corrosive on the skin but may not be as effective as acid primer.

Most primer bottles have self-contained brushes. These brush hold too much primer and can cause primer burn. Us a separate brush to apply dot of primer on the natural nail surface. The primer will spread evenly without having to more the brush over the entire nail surface, make sure that you do not overuse primer. Overly primed nails can become too slick and can cause the acrylic to lift. Allow the primer to dry naturally to a chalky white.
